Jeremy's journal

Liberty is not a woman walking the streets, she is not sitting on a bench waiting for an invitation to dinner, to come sleep in our bed for the rest of her life.

Sweet. I feel like some of the action is taking place, as it were, out of sight. In particular I hear harp on the melody, but what we can see of the harpists' hands are playing the slow chords of accompaniment. Is there a third harpist (or policeman) somewhere outside the frame?

You may be right -- I thought it was the male harpist who was playing the melody line, but on re-watching that seems wrong.

(I'm spending some time working on playing this tune -- a decidedly more martial take on it.)
