from the outside of the bench. All other mortises should be
centered on the width of the workpiece's face.
All blind mortises are 1 inch deep. All mortises are ¼ inch wide.
All mortises are blind unless marked as thru.
Additionally, thru mortises ¾" wide by 1¼" tall should be cut in (E), to receive (H). Cut tenons on all rails and stretchers to fit the mortises described above; all tenons are ¼" wide and 1" deep. The tenons on the ends of the stretchers which meet in the thru mortises will need to be trimmed a bit shorter.
