Table legs

* Parts marked with an asterisk should be cut long for tenons.
** The bench side rail should be cut in half along the diagonal, then lap-mortised together into a single rail.

Frame joinery

The legs should be cut with mortises as follows ("left" and "right" are as facing the front of the bench):
(A) rear right § From top of leg to 20¼" height, left side* (C)
§ From top to 20¼" height, front (G)
§ From 2¾" height to 2" height, left side (D)
front right § From top to 20¼" height, rear (G)
§ From 2¾" height to 2" height, left side (D)
rear left § From top to 20¼" height, right side* (C)
§ From top to 20¼" height, front (G)
§ From 14" height to 12¾" height, left side (E)
§ From 2¾" height to 2" height, thru (left to right) (D), (F)
front left § From top to 20¼" height, rear (G)
§ From 14" height to 12¾" height, left side (E)
§ From 2¾" height to 2" height, thru (left to right) (D), (F)
(B) rear § From top to 12¾" height, right side (E)
§ From top to 11½" height, front* (I)
§ From 2¾" height to 2" height, right side (F)
front § From top to 12¾" height, right side (E)
§ From top to 11½" height, rear* (I)
§ From 2¾" height to 2" height, right side (F)

* All mortises marked with an asterisk should be positioned ¼" from the outside of the bench. All other mortises should be centered on the width of the workpiece's face.
All blind mortises are 1 inch deep. All mortises are ¼ inch wide. All mortises are blind unless marked as thru.

Additionally, thru mortises ¾" wide by 1¼" tall should be cut in (E), to receive (H). Cut tenons on all rails and stretchers to fit the mortises described above; all tenons are ¼" wide and 1" deep. The tenons on the ends of the stretchers which meet in the thru mortises will need to be trimmed a bit shorter.
