Wow, this is wierd...

When I read that folk-song at the beginnning of And Quiet Flows the Don, I immediately thought of "Where Have All the Flowers Gone"... Browsing around on the net today, I found Pete Seeger's reminiscences of writing the song; turns out he was inspired by Sholokhov's song!
