Jeremy's journal

The alternatives are not placid servitude on the one hand and revolt against servitude on the other. There is a third way, chosen by thousands and millions of people every day. It is the way of quietism, of willed obscurity, of inner emigration.

🦋 QE Roughs

Andy Metcalfe has, in his Soundcloud role as flatpicker, been posting some rough mixes from the Queen Elvis sessions -- that is one of the Hitchcock records that I'm least familiar with and it is great listening to these versions.

Dig it!

Sort of not crazy about "Knife" (which sounds to my ear maybe like a draggy/decrepit Syd Barrett tune...) and unsure about "Live Man Die," but "Mr. Rock n Roll" and "Wax Doll" are astounding.

nice find.

this Knife is pretty much identical to the album version - just mixed a little differently.
